In 1987. Val called in the army, where he served in Special Forces, and later in the special units of the KGB, and participated in numerous combat operations. Later he worked as an instructor at the KGB, teaching Sambo.Uvolivshis soldiers from the army, Val went to London and 12 years worked as a consultant on security at government and private companies. During this period, Val met Mikhail Ryabko and became a qualified instructor of Russian fighting art known as Sistema.Val also held several seminars in the Netherlands, Ireland and Ukraine, by special invitation of the Ukrainian Government, Ireland and Russia. Also taught the Marines at the U.S. Embassy in London, performed in competitions in boxing and mixed martial arts, becoming British champion in the heavyweight division.

This set contains 4 DVD/video's. Foundation teaches you the proper execution of the techniques, that differs slightly from earlier Billy Blanks video's. Energy does the same but in a slightly higher tempo. The two remaining DVD's are Power and Strength (my personal favourite). "Capture The Power is the best I know" Billy Blanks says in the note that comes with the DVD's, but the experienced Tae-bo warrior will find something wonting here. Billy talks a lot between sets, does the sets slow first many times, the fast sets don't last very long and he makes use of yoga like warm-up techniques. All these factors deduce from the sweatiness which is still my main criteria for a good workout. The choreography of these workouts is pretty good, I would give it an 8 out of ten. And for overall sweatiness a 7 out of 10. Those experienced with Tae-bo will not find these tapes too challenging. For people that want to get into tae-bo and are looking for 45 minute workouts, this is the thing to buy. Advanced Tae-bo practitioners should buy either the original Tae-bo tapes or the Get Ripped series, that are in my opinion still the best in the field.

This two-video pack includes Kick Butt and Kick Butt 2. Each features a celebrity, a fitness expert, and a kickboxing champion. The 1997 Kick Butt shows Kristoff St. John, star of the soap opera The Young and the Restless, holding his own with trainer Jackie Vankatwyk and three-time European kickboxing champion Badrino Kocktane. The scene is a boxing ring in a real boxing club - very austere and macho. You should already know kickboxing techniques to do this workout safely, because it offers very little instruction - participants are supposed to watch and follow Kocktane, who gives a few barely audible instructions, aided by some clear voiceovers from Vankatwyk. The moves are repeated drills without patterns. The camerawork is quite busy, with frequently changing angles. After a 25-minute kickboxing workout, you spend about five minutes with weights, followed by five minutes of abs workout, then a 10-minute stretch.The 1999 Kick Butt 2 is greatly improved by professional kickboxing instructor Antoinette Urcuyo, who cues and leads adeptly, includes plenty of technique tips, and builds combinations skillfully. She is assisted by actor Dorian Gregory (Charmed, Baywatch Nights) and trainer Jaimie Brenkus. You'll probably use this video much more often than the first. At the end is a recommended technique section.

You'll recognize some of the music and yoga sequences from their previous videos, but there's plenty that's brand new here as well.Like its sister video, Yoga Quick Fixes, Dr. Yoga House Call has over 3 hours of footage, which provides wonderful variety but can feel a bit overwhelming.
As you can see, House Calls offers sets designed to address more chronic conditions--unlike Quick Fixes, which focuses on more common, transient issues. I also found the practices on House Call to be more active than on Quick Fixes, including more use of Breath of Fire and more arm movements, which made the practices feel pretty challenging at times.
In summary, this is a well-done, well-produced DVD of energizing Kundalini yoga practices.

If you are a trainer or coach in this field – ask yourself if your business practice is the same as it was last year, or two or three years ago. Ask yourself if your programming has evolved to meet the demand’s of todays consumer. If you haven’t changed your model radically – you will be left behind in today’s economy.
The only constant in today’s business world is that everything is changing.
Your marketing has to be different. Your sales script has to be different. The services you offer have to be different. The actual workouts you put clients through have to be different (today’s client is physically different and has different goals from even ten years ago).
It’s time to evolve and reinvent.

The session starts with an energetic warm-up and goes into press-ups ten minutes into the session, moves into lively kicks, then targets abs and thighs, and finally winds up with a cool down. It'll certainly work up a good sweat, but whether it wows or not depends on the extent to which Lawler can occupy the viewer's attention. Despite clearly lapping up the novelty, Lawler is by no means a natural presenter. Trying too hard to impress with lame comments and exaggerated facial expressions, she is too self-absorbed to engage in any playful interaction or flirtation--which is, after all, what she's best known for.
